Our relationship with our children is one of the greatest predictors of their success in life.
Dr. James Heckman discovered that children's soft skills determine their success in adult life equally or greater than that of their academic skills.
"Achievement tests miss, or perhaps more accurately, do not adequately capture, soft skills—personality traits, goals, motivations, and preferences—that are valued in the labor market, in school, and in many other domains. The larger message of this paper is that soft skills predict success in life, that they causally produce that success, and that programs that enhance soft skills have an important place in an effective portfolio of public policies."
Above all else our relationship with our children trumps all else we can offer them. If we can bring more fun and enjoyment into our everyday Motherhood we will natually want to spend more time with our children, talk to them more, play with them more and cater for their needs. Once this foundation is set, integrating all the elements of Montessori and the tools and activities I teach you in my four week course will become more and more effortless!
